Description:
The Los Fresnos Police Department will host a 1-day Law Enforcement Competition on Saturday July 31, 2010. Team registration and liability forms must be received by Monday, July 19, 2010. All fees must be paid in full to Los Fresnos Police Association or Los Fresnos Police Explorer Post 2088; no partial payments please. A receipt will be provided at check-in. Each team will compete in 4 scenarios. Information in the provided packets will inform advisors and teams of their scheduled event times. Events will be set up to last either 30 or 60 minutes. All team events will be role-play scenarios. There is a $35.00 registration fee for each participating explorer and a $30.00 fee for advisors/non-participants. All participants, advisors/non-participants will receive a T-shirt, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Money orders or post checks are preferred and should be made payable to Los Fresnos Police Association or Los Fresnos. For more information please visit our website.

Capital Challenge is designed to be very demanding on the physical and mental capabilities of each Explorer. Events are designed to test the strengths and limitations of a person's intelligence, personality, demeanor, and physical abilities, as well as dedication and conviction to the Explorer Program. Explorers are given the opportunity to test their skills in real life situations including; Felony Traffic Stops, Vehicle Searches, Building Searches, and a Domestic Violence situation, just to name a few. Most events will be held in daylight with a few night time scenarios. Explorers will also get the chance to demonstrate their abilities in an agility test and a written exam. |
