Explorer Advisors Association
TLEEAA MEMBERSHIP:
Membership in TLEEAA shall be open to any interested adult provided he or she is registered as an adult leader with an Explorer Post or as a member-at-large of a BSA Council; or is a member of the BSA professional staff; or is a sworn member of a state, local or federal law enforcement agency.
There are three (3) classifications of membership in TLEEAA, which are defined as follows:
- Active Member: Includes any member whom is registered as an adult leader with a Texas Law Enforcement Explorer Post or as a member-at-large of a Teas BSA Council, or is a sworn member of a state, local or federal law enforcement agency located within the State of Texas. Active members have full voting rights in the association. Members not current with their TLEEAA membership dues are considered inactive and prohibited from holding office, serving on committees or casting votes.
- Associate Member: Includes members of the BSA professional staff and any other qualified individual not associated with an Explorer Post, BSA Council or local, state, or federal law enforcment agency located within the State of Texas. Associate Members are not eligible to serve as officers of the association or cast votes, but may serve on committees. Associate Members are exempt from paying dues.
- Honorary Members: Includes any individual who has rendered outstanding service to the association and/or Law Enforcement Exploring, but does not meet the criteria for active or associate membership. The TLEEAA Board of Officers will evaluate nomination of Honorary Members and may approve a person for same by a majority vote of officers. Honorary Members are eligible to serve as officers of the association or cast votes, but may serve on committees. Honorary Members are exempt from paying dues.
