TLEEAA stands for the Texas Law Enforcement Explorer Advisor Association. This organization supports youth interested in law enforcement careers through training, events, and competitions for Explorer and Cadet posts across the state of Texas. It was established to promote Law Enforcement Youth Programs by providing vocational training, character development, and fitness activities for young people, and by supporting the law enforcement agencies and advisors who mentor these posts.
TCSO will host the 4th Annual Central Texas Public Safety Cadet Competition for Public Safety Cadet and/or Explorer programs on May 30, 2026. The one-day competition event is designed to have challenging scenarios based on current Texas law enforcement standardized training, which will test Cadets/Explorers' knowledge and skills.

Annual Space City Competition on April 11, 2026.
The Houston Police Department (HPD) Explorer Program's Space City Explorer Competition is an annual event where youth law enforcement explorers (ages 14-21) from various posts compete in realistic police scenarios, testing their skills in areas like accident investigation, domestic disturbances, DWI stops, and crisis intervention, fostering leadership, communication, and career readiness. It's a significant city-level event for these programs, allowing explorers to apply classroom training in high-pressure simulations and build camaraderie, with teams often earning awards for their performance.
